Deciding between a raccoon art print and a red fox art print? Compare sizes, materials, and style to find the wildlife art that best suits your room.
Quick answer
If you want a larger statement piece with a playful, detailed oil pastel look, choose the Oil Pastel Raccoon Art Print. If you need a small, durable accent for a water bottle, laptop, or journal, the Red Fox Matte Vinyl Sticker is the practical pick.
Size and format: wall art vs. everyday accessory
The most obvious difference is how each piece is used. The Oil Pastel Raccoon Art Print comes in sizes from 4x6 inches up to 11x14 inches, making it a true wall-art option. The Red Fox sticker, at about 2.25 by 2 inches, is made for smaller surfaces like phone cases or notebooks.
Think about where you want the artwork to live. A framed print can anchor a gallery wall or brighten a bedroom, while a sticker adds a subtle wildlife touch to items you carry daily. Neither is inherently better—it depends on whether you want a focal point or a small accent.
Material and durability: paper vs. vinyl
The raccoon print is printed on high-quality matte photo paper and arrives in a protective sleeve with a backing board, so it’s ready for framing. The fox sticker is made from durable, weatherproof vinyl with a smooth matte finish, making it water-resistant and scratch-resistant.
If you’re decorating a space where the art stays indoors and protected, the paper print is a great choice. If you want something that can handle water bottles or outdoor gear, the vinyl sticker is built for that. Keep in mind that the print is not described as waterproof, so it’s best kept away from moisture.
Style and color: playful raccoon vs. classic fox
Both artworks are illustrated with oil pastels, giving them a soft, textured look. The raccoon print is described as perfect for brightening a bedroom or bathroom with a pop of color, suggesting a playful, lively vibe. The red fox, with its bold red-orange fur, offers a more classic wildlife subject that fits nature-themed decor.
Consider the existing color palette of your room. The raccoon’s colors may be more varied and bright, while the red fox’s warm tones can complement earthy or neutral spaces. If you’re drawn to a specific animal, that personal connection often matters more than any technical spec.
Trade-offs to consider
- Size flexibility: The raccoon print offers multiple sizes (4x6 to 11x14), so you can match it to your wall. The fox sticker is fixed at about 2.25 x 2 inches, limiting placement to small surfaces. If you need a specific wall size, the print is the only option with size choices.
- Durability: The fox sticker is waterproof and scratch resistant, making it suitable for outdoor or high-use items. The raccoon print is on matte paper and not described as waterproof, so it should stay indoors and away from moisture. Choose the sticker for items that get wet or handled often; choose the print for protected indoor display.
- Artistic style: Both use oil pastels, but the raccoon is described as adding a pop of color, while the red fox offers a more classic wildlife look. Your room’s color scheme and personal preference should guide this choice. Match the artwork’s mood to the room’s existing decor for a cohesive look.
